Terms of Use
These terms set practical expectations for using Verum. If you do not agree with them, do not use the site or create an account.
Effective and last updated: August 22, 2026
Purpose and acceptance
Verum provides Bible reading, study organization, topical collections, reading plans, devotionals, maps, historical context, and optional AI-assisted study. By using the site, you agree to use it lawfully and responsibly and to respect the rights attached to Bible translations and third-party resources.
Educational and spiritual content
Verum’s content is offered for Bible study, education, reflection, and personal spiritual practice. It is not professional medical, mental-health, legal, financial, emergency, safeguarding, or pastoral advice. A topical page about anxiety, illness, abuse, finances, marriage, or another serious concern is not a diagnosis or individualized care plan.
Seek qualified help when a situation requires it. If someone may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or an appropriate crisis resource.
Accounts and your content
- You are responsible for keeping your password and devices secure.
- Do not use another person’s account or attempt to access data that is not yours.
- You retain responsibility for notes and other material you enter. Do not submit unlawful, abusive, infringing, or highly sensitive content.
- Features may store information locally or sync selected study data through Supabase as explained in the Privacy Policy.
AI-generated study responses
AI responses can be incomplete, inaccurate, or unable to represent every interpretive tradition. Verify important claims against Scripture and reliable sources. Do not treat an AI response as divine authority, a prediction, professional advice, or the judgment of a qualified pastor or scholar.
Bible translations and other rights
Bible translation texts remain subject to their own public-domain status, licenses, attribution requirements, territorial rules, and publisher rights. The presence of a translation in Verum does not transfer ownership to Verum or give users rights beyond the translation’s applicable terms.
Verum’s original interface, study organization, writing, and artwork are separate from the licenses governing Bible texts. Review the Bible Translation Licenses before redistributing substantial Scripture text.
Acceptable use
Do not interfere with the site, evade rate limits, probe accounts or systems without authorization, introduce malicious code, scrape in a way that harms availability, misrepresent Verum content as professional advice, or use the service to violate another person’s rights.
Accuracy, availability, and changes
Verum aims to correct errors and make study material clear, but it does not promise that every passage connection, historical statement, map location, AI answer, or feature will always be complete, uninterrupted, or error-free. Features and content may change, be corrected, or become unavailable.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided without guarantees beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. No governing-law jurisdiction or legal entity is stated here because the public site does not yet provide a verified operator identity or location.
