Paul is shipwrecked on Malta
A storm destroys the ship carrying Paul toward Rome, but everyone survives, and Paul ministers to the people of Malta.

Historical context
Mediterranean travel depended on seasonal winds, navigational skill, cargo management, and the risks of winter sailing. The ship carries prisoners, soldiers, sailors, and grain or commercial cargo, making the voyage a vivid picture of Roman mobility and danger.
Biblical significance
God preserves Paul and all aboard, fulfilling the promise that he will testify in Rome. Healing and hospitality on Malta extend the witness beyond the ship and show mission continuing through apparent disaster.
