Steady in the Storm
Courage can begin with reaching for Christ while fear is still present.
Matthew 14:27–31Peter steps toward Jesus and then notices the wind. The story does not celebrate fearlessness; it shows a frightened disciple being met and helped.
We may begin with sincere faith and still lose our footing. Asking for help is part of courage, not evidence that we had none.
Name the storm honestly and identify one person or practice that can help you stay grounded today.
Where would it help to ask for support instead of pretending you feel steady?
“Jesus, meet me in the storm and help me reach for you when fear rises.”
