Sabbath in a Demanding Week
A rhythm of stopping reminds us that life is more than what we produce.
Exodus 20:8–11The command to rest extends beyond one individual. It includes families, workers, and even animals, placing limits on the appetite for constant production.
A Sabbath rhythm can begin modestly: a meal without multitasking, a protected walk, or a short interval when work is set down.
Choose a boundary that gives you room to receive life rather than only manage it. Let rest be a practice of trust, not another measure of success.
What small boundary could make space for rest in your week?
“Creator God, teach me to honor the limits you gave and to receive rest without guilt.”
