New Mercies for This Morning
Yesterday does not get the final word over today.
Lamentations 3:22–23Lamentations was written from inside profound loss. Its declaration of mercy is not shallow optimism; it is trust spoken while the ruins are still visible.
God’s faithfulness gives us permission to begin again. We do not need to deny yesterday’s pain or pretend we handled everything well. We can receive today as a fresh place to practice faithfulness.
Ask what mercy looks like in the next faithful step—not the entire week, just the step in front of you.
Reflect
What burden from yesterday are you carrying as though no new mercy is available today?
A prayer for today
“Faithful God, meet me with fresh mercy and help me take today’s next faithful step.”
