Mercy After the Mistake
Jesus meets failure with a searching question and a renewed invitation to love.
John 21:15–17Peter’s denial is not ignored when Jesus restores him. Their conversation names the wound and then opens a way forward through love and responsibility.
Grace does not erase consequences or make repair unnecessary. It means a failure does not have to become the whole identity of the person who failed.
If you have caused harm, consider what honest repair may look like. If shame is keeping you from returning, remember that Christ can meet you there too.
What kind of repair or return might grace make possible for you?
“Jesus, help me receive mercy, make amends where I can, and learn to love more faithfully.”
