Hope in the Night
Christian hope can be honest about darkness and still expect God to meet us there.
Romans 15:13Paul’s prayer for joy and peace is spoken to a community that still lives amid uncertainty. Hope is not a promise that every hard circumstance will disappear quickly.
The Spirit sustains hope from within us when the horizon is difficult to read. We can name what hurts without deciding that pain is the whole story.
Today, let hope be one small act of trust: ask for help, keep a promise, or receive the kindness that is already near.
What would it look like to make room for hope without denying what is hard?
“God of hope, meet me in the dark and steady me with your presence today.”
