A Second Beginning

Failure does not make you unreachable to the voice of God.

Jonah 3:1–2

Jonah’s story does not hide his resistance, but it also does not end there. God speaks to him again and gives him a next step after his flight.

A second beginning is not the same as pretending nothing happened. It means receiving correction, making amends where needed, and returning to the work of faithfulness.

If regret has kept you frozen, name the next honest action you can take. God can meet you on the far side of a poor choice.

Reflect

What would a responsible next step look like after a mistake or delay?

A prayer for today

“Patient God, help me learn from what has been and respond faithfully to your invitation now.”
