A Quiet Heart in Anxious Times
Prayer gives anxious thoughts somewhere honest to go.
Philippians 4:6–7Paul does not shame people for carrying concerns. He invites them to bring those concerns to God with honesty, gratitude, and specific requests.
Prayer may not remove every uncertainty at once, but it can loosen anxiety’s hold on the present moment. We remember that we are not carrying the whole future alone.
Name one concern plainly. Then name one thing you are grateful for beside it, without using gratitude to silence the concern.
What worry could you bring to God in specific, unedited words today?
“God of peace, receive what troubles me and guard my heart as I take the next step.”
